Things are really moving fast now – only two months after Andrew Gower and Stephen Walters wrapped filming on their first joint venture, they announced today that soon they’ll be ready to share the news on the screening of Humpty Dumpty (now called Humpty Fu*king Dumpty) with the fans.

Almost two years ago, they announced their big announcement that they’re starting a crowd-funding campaign on Kickstarter to finance their “passion project” in a similar way.

If you’re on Twitter, click the link and tell Andrew and Stephen how excited you are about Humpty Fu*king Dumpty!

First Look: Poldark ADR Session

British actress Kerri McLean, who will play “formidable new character” Catherine Despard in the upcoming 5th season of Poldark, shared the following pictures from their first ADR session on Instagram. ADR stands for automatic or automated dialogue replacement, and – according to this article – is usually done towards the end of the editing and post-production process.

So we not only get a first glance at the new season but it also means post-production for Poldark is in its final stages!

Not long now until we can see Ross and Demelza again – and of course meet James Hadfield played by Andrew Gower!

ETA:

Actor Harry Richardson, who plays Demelza Poldark’s brother Drake Carne, has now also shared a picture on his Instagram, sneakily taken during his ADR session.

Mammoth Screens, the production company behind British period drama Poldark, took to Twitter today to explain the recent lack of updates:

Dearest fans, we know you are eagerly awaiting S5 news and exclusives. We promise they are coming but we’re still in the edit at this stage. There will be an official launch in due course…keep your eyes peeled for info on ‘s website 😉

We won’t take our eyes off of the BFI website and Twitter account to bring you any news on Poldark‘s final season and Andrew Gower as James Hadfield as soon as possible!

7 Casting Decisions That Hurt Outlander (And 13 That Saved It)

ol_andrewgower_still

Screenrant have published a list of “7 Casting Decisions That Hurt Outlander (And 13 That Saved It)” and while we do not agree with all their assessments, we strongly support their view of Andrew Gower‘s performance as Bonnie Prince Charlie.

Saved It: Andrew Gower As Bonnie Prince Charlie

Prince Charles led the Jacobite Rebellion in 18th-century Scotland and inevitably failed in his mission to take the crown. Outlander needed to find the perfect actor to play the Bonnie Prince, and they found him in none other than Andrew Gower.

Gower showed off his acting chops as the Prince and emulated his privilege, wealth, and flamboyancy in every movement and every word. It was, quite honestly, a damn shame when his role was over by the beginning of season 3 because he was just so fun to watch. But much like the real Prince Charlie, the character’s time in Scotland was over, and it was time for everyone else to move on, too.

We could not have said it better ourselves 👏 and we cannot wait what the future holds for our bonnie Andrew but we are sure they will be bigger and better things than what was in store for his alter ego Prince Charlie.

Humpty Dumpty Receives Notable Cast Addition

kiran_sonia_sawar.jpg

According to IMDb, Kiran Sonia Sawar joined the cast of Andrew Gower‘s and Stephen Walters‘ short film Humpty Dumpty about musician Tommy Quickly. Kiran received a BAFTA Scotland Best Actress nomination for her role as Shazia in Andrew’s Black Mirror episode “Crocodile”.

We asked our resident Tommy Quickly experts at his fan page on Facebook and they reckon Kiran’s character Peggy might have been one of Tommy’s girlfriends. We’ll have to wait and see if this turns out to be the truth!

New Writer for Carnival Row

carnival_row_chairc

Good news as a second season of Carnival Row seems more and more likely to happen – as incredible as it sounds with so little information about season 1.

Only a few months away from the 10th anniversary of the Battlestar Galactica finale airing, actress Tricia Helfer presents a podcast called “Battlestar GalactiCast” in which she revisists episodes of the show with her co-host, journalist and writer Marc Bernadin.

In their latest editon, Marc Bernadin now revealed that he most recently joined the writing team for Carnival Row, which – he says – comes to Amazon Video “at some point later this year”. Assuming season 1 is well into post-production by now, this can only mean the team is already busy with developing the next season.

Of course, there is no way of confirming whether Andrew will renew his role as Ezra Spurnrose for another season but we feel this is a strong indicator that the producers at Amazon Video feel very confident about their new series.

Remaining Midsomer Murders delayed

mm206_061crop.png

According to the Radio Times, tonight’s episode of Midsomer Murders‘ season 20 “Death of the Small Coppers” is the last one, ITV will be airing for now. The time slot will be taken over by Coronation Street and the new season of historical drama Victoria.

There’s no information as to when Midsomer Murders (including Andrew’s episode “Send in the Clowns”) will return to British TV.

The first two episodes of Midsomer Murders series 20 air in March 2019 […]. A further four feature-length episodes will be scheduled later in 2019, completing the six-episode run.

Great to hear post-productions is going well and that we should be able to see Running Naked later in 2019. Together with the release of Midsomer Murders (UK premiere), Poldark and Carnival Row, this is shaping up to be a great year for all of Andrew’s fans!
