Unfortunately, there is no more news regarding Andrew Gower‘s Midsomer Murders episode 20×06 “Send in the Clowns” and a potential transmission date on ITV in the UK. Along with episode 20×05 “Till Death Do Us Part” it has not been broadcast yet on the British network.

Since 7 November 2019 the episodes are exclusively available through the subscription service BritBox, which launched on that day in the UK, and the complete season 20 DVD box set (RC2) can now be pre-ordered and will be released on 2 December 2019.

We regret that we aren’t able to share better news with you but will keep you posted as soon as we have further information. We hope a lot of you will be able to watch Andrew’s episode on BritBox or DVD at least.

Announcing our Advent Calendar Contest 2019!

agac19_00.png

It’s that time of year again!

Starting next Sunday, 1 December, we are counting down the days to the winter holidays with our traditional Advent Calendar contest.

There will be 24 pictures from Andrew Gower‘s career – past, present and future – that will be posted on all our Social Media outlets, on Twitter, Facebook (Page and Group), Instagram and in our Gallery on 24 consecutive days leading up to Christmas Eve.

All “days” will be posted at 12pm (CET) on Social Media and uploaded to our Gallery soon after.

To enter the contest and win one of our exclusive prizes, including the highly prestigious title as “Andrew Gower Fan of the Year”, you need to do the following:

  • Like the picture and comment with your guess of the context (what TV show, movie, event is it from?)
  • Alternatively – if you don’t have a Social Media account – you can simply e-mail us.

As an example, have a look at our past Advent Calendars 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Every honest guess (whether correct or not) will enter your name to the drawing pot from which winners will be chosen on 1 January 2020. One guess per day and person only, but you can guess every day which will increase your chances to win.

(Disclaimer: We’re an open-minded group and respect all faiths and (non-)beliefs. We love all fans of Andrew Gower, no matter which holiday they celebrate this time of year, or whether they celebrate any at all!)

Miss Scarlet and The Duke at ATF Singapore

A&E Networks are also presenting Miss Scarlet and The Duke to the Asian market. According to Content Asia the upcoming period crime drama is part of the network’s catalogue for the Asia TV Market and Forum (ATF), “the region’s leading entertainment content event”.  Similar to MIPCOM, ATF is used by the industry to present new content for international distribution.

In the run-up to this year’s ATF, held from 3 – 6 December 2019 in Singapore, Content Asia included Miss Scarlet and The Duke in their list of “Must See” shows for the coming year.

Another female-led PI story with a fiery mis-matched duo at its core…

Set in the same 1880s London society that gave rise to Jack the Ripper, this six-episode hour-long British detective drama features headstrong heroine, Eliza Scarlet (played by Kate Phillips from “Peaky Blinders”), who takes over her father’s detective agency when he dies.

In a world where women’s options are limited, she ties up with Scotland Yard Detective Inspector William Wellington (aka The Duke, a drinker, gambler, and womaniser), played by Stuart Martin.

Eliza has always been more interested in running her late father’s detective agency than behaving like a proper lady. But nothing has prepared her for the dangers she is about to face as a woman in the murder investigation trade…

Best of luck to show creator Rachael New and her team at ATF, and we hope we can share more news, release dates and promo material with you soon. The first trailer for Miss Scarlet and The Duke was released last week, including two scenes with Andrew Gower as Rupert Parker.

Carnival Row S2 Officially Resumes Production

carnivalrowart.jpg

The official Carnival Row accounts on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook have confirmed that the production of Season 2 of the Amazon Prime series is back on track again with this video.

Watch Cara Delevingne, Orlando Bloom, Tamzin Merchant and David Gyasi tease what’s in store for their characters and the world of Carnival Row in Season 2!

In the past few days, they had already shared some posts on their personal Instagram accounts that seemed to indicate that they’re back in Prague.

The show had been put on hiatus to allow the new showrunner Erik Oleson and new story editor Laurie Penny to review the existing material after a major shake up behind scenes had seen the original creator Travis Beacham leave the show due to “creative differences”.

Even though, Andrew Gower doesn’t appear in the video, he is confirmed to reprise his role as Ezra Spurnrose and will probably be seen hunting his fugitive sister Imogen (Tamzin Merchant) and her forbidden lover Agreus (David Gyasi) in the new season.
