Michael Emmerson interviews

michael-emmerson-1

Michael Emmerson has been interviewed for FemaleFirst.co.uk; the interview contains a short story about how his solo release of former Emerson track Back to You was co-written by himself and Andrew. Watch it here.

Michael has also been interviewed by GayDar radio about his release of Back to You. The interview contains several mentions of Andrew:

I used to listen to songs that I liked and work them out on the keyboard by ear, and I soon found that I could do it quite easily, so I started to write my own ideas. It wasn’t ’til I was about 14 or 15 though that I started to co-write songs with my friend Andrew Gower. We wrote loads of songs together, but then when he moved to London to pursue his acting career about 4 years ago, I started to write songs by myself and haven’t stopped since.

The Telegraph, 3 May 2012 (Daisy Bowie-Sell)

Karge’s language is a great burst of poetic brilliance. It tumbles out of the mouths of the ensemble cast in fast rhyming rhythm. It’s bolshie, full of bravura and feels fresh, despite the script’s age.

Ben Dowell of The Guardian said:

While journalist Ian Wylie commented:

Andrew himself posted a picture on his Twitter feed of a visit to Starbucks with Christina Chong where he cheekily gave the barista the name ‘Mullery’ to identify his cup!

Monroe will screen on ITV in October.

Damien Molony interviewed by Spotlight

cult_being_human_s04_e07_2

Damien Molony has been interviewed by Spotlight about his nomination for the prize in 2011 and his career since then. There are a couple of questions about Andrew Gower and their work together on Being Human:

Did Andrew Gower [2010 Spotlight Prize winner] try to give you any tips?

We didn’t actually shoot anything together until episode seven so we didn’t really talk about it that much. He used to give me encouragement and I would try and do the same because I think he is absolutely amazing, a brilliant actor. He goes into so much depth with his preparation. I learnt a lot from just watching him rather than him teaching me.
