Air Date for Poldark S5?

poldark-image-2.jpg

Because we all cannot wait to see the new season of Poldark – and Andrew Gower as James Hadfield! – we couldn’t help ourselves and here’s a little speculation!

Previously, we thought we might get S5 as soon as 9 June but that date seems unlikely now as the BFI screening is scheduled only 4 days earlier, on 5 June.

So where does that leave us with Poldark‘s new season?

From 19 May until 7 July, Poldark‘s usual time-slot on Sunday nights 9pm on BBC One is taken by new show Gentleman Jack. Which means Poldark could take over its rightful place on 14 July! A date just over a month after the exclusive BFI screening does seem likely. So let’s start the countdown till 14 July and hope for the best!

ETA: Fixed the number of episodes of Gentleman Jack and updated the speculated air date for Poldark.

humptydumptybwcrop

Very sad news reached us today. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Andrew Gower and Stephen Walters unfortunately had to cancel the screening of their short film Humpty Fu*king Dumpty, scheduled for 10 June 2019 in London.

They send their apologies and thank the fans for their support.

We’re gutted about the news and hope we can report more positive news about Humpty Fu*king Dumpty soon again.

For now we can only send both Andrew and Stephen positive vibes and well wishes, and the reassurance of our unwavering love and support!

Poldark BFI Screening and Q&A

poldark-01

The BFI (British Film Institute) has announced the date for a special screening event for the first episode of Poldark‘s fifth and final season. You will be able to see the episode and attend the following Q&A with confirmed guests Aidan Turner (Ross Poldark), Jack Farthing (George Warleggan), Luke Norris (Dwight Enys), Ellise Chappell (Morwenna Carne), and writer Debbie Horsfield.

Booking for this special event opens on 17 May 2019 at 11:30am. You can book tickets here.

The event itself takes place on Wednesday, 5 June 2019 at 6:15pm at BFI Southbank (Belvedere Road, South Bank, London SE1 8XT).

The description on the website reads as follows:

It’s a new century, but the past casts a long shadow over Cornwall, and when an old friend needs help, Ross is compelled to challenge the establishment and question his loyalties to king and country.

Is it just us or does this “old friend” sound like one James Hadfield (played by our Andrew Gower)? We sure hope so!

Andrew at Texas Gathering

This past weekend, Andrew Gower and Stephen Walters attended a private gathering of Outlander fans in Texas (USA). Despite it being a strictly private event, some attendees took to social media to share some moments of their time with the Liverpudlian actors.

Thanks to YouTube user Samantha Kraupner we can also share these videos with you. Andrew and Stephen treated the attendees with a special private concert at the event and performed some Beatles song plus “Do you Remember”, the song they wrote for their short film Humpty Fu*king Dumpty. Gallery Update: Charlie’s Restaurant

Andrew at Charlie's

In a “blast from the past” we’ve added three photos from 2011 to our gallery when Andrew attended the opening of Charlie’s Restaurant and Bar in Harpenden (UK) along with some of his Monroe co-stars.

The pictures have true historical value as the restaurant building was apparently demolished in late 2016.
