Michael Emmerson interviews

Michael Emmerson has been interviewed for FemaleFirst.co.uk; the interview contains a short story about how his solo release of former Emerson track Back to You was co-written by himself and Andrew. Watch it here.

Michael has also been interviewed by GayDar radio about his release of Back to You. The interview contains several mentions of Andrew:

I used to listen to songs that I liked and work them out on the keyboard by ear, and I soon found that I could do it quite easily, so I started to write my own ideas. It wasn’t ’til I was about 14 or 15 though that I started to co-write songs with my friend Andrew Gower. We wrote loads of songs together, but then when he moved to London to pursue his acting career about 4 years ago, I started to write songs by myself and haven’t stopped since.

Frankenstein’s Wedding: The Dance

At the end of the live performance of Frankenstein’s Wedding, the cast performed a choreographed dance which also saw Andrew singing the first few lines of Make You Feel My Love. The most spectacular part of the dance however, was the audience joining in with the dance. They had been taught the dance previously and seeing 12,000 people performing it in unison is something to behold.

As an aside, the look on Andrew’s face when he looks out over the crowd at the end is absolutely wonderful!

Frankenstein’s Wedding – Andrew sings ‘Wires’

As part of Frankenstein’s Wedding, Andrew sang Athlete’s Wires (and made every girl there wish she was up there in that plastic box with him!). Thanks to YouTube user symanleedsuk you can watch it again here:

He also sang Snow Patrol’s Make It Go On Forever which is an incredibly beautiful song, he really does it justice. Again thanks to symanleedsuk you can watch it here:

If you like Andrew’s vocals on the Frankenstein’s Wedding songs, you can also hear him in his own band Emerson – pop over to the Emerson page on this site to hear some of their tracks.

Liverpool Echo interview

The Liverpool Echo have published a long interview with Andrew following the screening of the first episode of Monroe and previewing next month’s Frankenstein’s Wedding. It also covers his life in Liverpool before he left to attend the Oxford School of Drama, and Andrew talks about his love for The Beatles and his music project Emerson.
