Andrew Gower joined 360 Yourself host Jamie Neale to talk all things Gustaffson as well as discussing rituals and habitual patterns in personal and work life. “We ask questions about how to become more aware of one self and the world around us, how do we become 360 with ourselves?”
Another radio interview for our Andrew Gower! This time he talked to Joe McGrath on BBC Radio Manchester about Gustaffson‘s upcoming new single “Northern Baby” and music video directed by Corey Rid, as well as the magic of recording at the iconic Blueprint Studios with Elbow and Craig Potter.
Cel Spellman will be back for Gustaffson’s first London gig at The Lexington. He previously interviewed Andrew Gower live on Instagram and hosted the official EP launch party in Liverpool last summer.
Known for her recurring role in Outlander she began performing her poetry a year ago and has since gone on to headline several of London’s biggest spoken word nights. Her poetry is vulnerable, confronting and extremely relatable.
Gustaffson’s London gig at The Lexington will also feature an exclusive screening of short film F.O.G.
F.O.G. (Fear, Obligation, Guilt) is the 3rd short film from up-and-coming writer/director Malinda Kaur and is a nuanced portrayal of a mother-daughter relationship. Drawing upon a mother’s expectations of a dutiful daughter, the film explores familial obligation and associated guilt and reflects the emotional strains of being a Sikh woman in modern British society.
Gustaffson will also be joined by fellow Scouser Martha Goddard.
Martha Goddard has spent the past 5 years as joint singer and songwriter of the band Hushtones who have been touring around the country and recording music. Hushtones continue to create as a collaborative project alongside Martha’s more vulnerable, solo endeavour. Drawing inspiration from touchstone artists Kate Bush, Caroline Polachek and Sharon Van Etten, Martha has already received airplay from BBC Radio Merseyside and BBC 6 Music with her debut singles. Martha has been hard at work in the studio working on a more ambitious project which is set for release at the end of 2023.
Andrew Gower will be a guest on BBC Radio Northampton and talk with host Chance Litchfield all things Gustaffson tomorrow, 15 March 2023, at 11:40am (GMT).
Fatanstic news! Gustaffson announced on their social media today that they’re ready to release a new single. “Northern Baby”, recorded live at Blueprint Studios and mixed by Elbow‘s Craig Potter, will be available to download on 14 April 2023.
The new song will also come with a new music video directed by Corey Rid and his team at La De La Studios.
Imogen (Tamzin Merchant), Agreus (David Gyasi) and Ezra (Andrew Gower) have escaped the fighting in Ragusa. Since their boat was destroyed in the attack, they are now trying to reach The Burgue by land. They have to cross Pact land and Ezra suggests to seek help from Pact soldiers as their two countries are now allies, but Imogen rejects his proposal because it’s risking Agreus’s life.
Their hike brings some secrets to light as Ezra reveals to Agreus why his sister was still unmarried when he met her. Agreus’ dark past is also exposed and proves to be even more sinister than that of the siblings. When the trio come across a group of Pact soldiers, Ezra attempts to force his sister and her lover to surrender. A fight ensues trying to disarm and silence him and Ezra is killed.
Soon after, Imogen and Agreus are captured by New Dawn soldiers and taken to Kastor (George Georgiou) and Leonora (Joanne Whalley), who offers them a deal: As a Burgish citizen of good standing and property, Imogen has the right to speak in front of Parliament. Leonora tells them to deliver a peace treaty to The Burgue on behalf of New Dawn.

Imogen (Tamzin Merchant) and Agreus (David Gyasi) have fully endorsed comrade life and celebrate the anniversary of New Dawn whole-heartedly – or so it seems. In truth Imogen is only distracting Kastor (George Georgiou) in order to help Agreus and her brother Ezra (Andrew Gower) sneak away. Their escape plans are thwarted, however, when the Pact attacks Ragusa, and they are left fighting for their survival.
Because the Pact is now at war with New Dawn, they withdraw their troops from the land of the fae, Tirnanoc – good news for all the fae still on lockdown in Carnival Row. The prospect of leaving The Burgue lifts everyone’s spirit including Vignette (Cara Delevingne) and Tourmaline’s (Karla Crome). Philo (Orlando Bloom) has an idea and joins Runyan Millworthy (Simon McBurney) at the chancellor’s funeral to seek his help.
The fae are in high spirits while they get ready to return to their homeland Tirnanoc. Vignette convinces Philo to leave The Burgue with her and Tourmaline, who fails to persuade Darius (Ariyon Bakare). Tensions are rising as large crowds of Burgish people line the streets shouting insults and throwing objects at the fae. When they finally reach the harbour about to board the ships that will take them home, all hell breaks lose.
