In 2012 Andrew Gower teamed up with his lifelong friend James ‘Webbo’ Webster to form a new band, Gustaffson (aka The Gustaffsons). Together they have recorded new songs (some covers, some original songs). Listen to them for free on SoundCloud:
In January 2022, Andrew announced exclusively on the Scarleteers Podcast, that he spent some time during the pandemic to work on new songs with Gustaffson. The first two, The Jacaranda and Night People were released later that month on Instagram and YouTube.
On 22 June 2022 the official Gustaffson website was launched with the news that Andrew and Webbo recorded their first EP called The Jacaranda produced by Elbow‘s Craig Potter which was released on 19 August 2022.
The first single, also called The Jacaranda, was digitally released on 1 July 2022, followed by the second single Night People on 29 July 2022. On 14 April 2023 a further single, Northern Baby, came out digitally.
