While we’ve been (im-)patiently waiting for news about Andrew Gower‘s upcoming detective drama Ellis, where he plays lead character DS Chet Harper alongside (Sharon D. Clarke) as the titular DCI Ellis, he made a surprise guest appearance in the highly anticipated second season of Sherwood.
Sherwood is a British television crime drama series created and written by James Graham. It stars David Morrissey and is inspired by real life murders in Nottinghamshire, England in 2004. The first episode of the six-episode series aired on BBC One on 13 June 2022.
Season 2 premiered on 25 August 2024 with Andrew’s episode 2 airing the following night on 26 August 2024. Season 1 is available on BBC iPlayer in the UK with Season 2 episodes being added after their terrestrial broadcast on BBC One.
