Release Date for Miss Scarlet and The Duke on PBS

PBS Masterpiece announced today the long anticipated schedule for their 50th anniversary celebrations in January 2021, which promises “can’t-miss programs featuring a-list talent, spectacular stories and breathtaking settings”. As previously reported, they will exclusively premiere perdiod crime drama Miss Scarlet and The Duke in the USA, and we now have a date!

Sunday 17 January 2021, 8/7c

Kate Phillips (Peaky Blinders) stars in a six-part mystery as Miss Eliza Scarlet, the headstrong, first-ever female detective in Victorian London. Stuart Martin (Jamestown) plays her childhood friend, professional colleague, and potential love interest, Scotland Yard Detective Inspector William Wellington, a.k.a., The Duke.

Supporting Eliza Scarlet in her quest are her maid and surrogate mother Ivy (Cathy Belton), Rupert Parker (Andrew Gower) and Moses (Ansu Kabia). The cast is completed by Kevin Doyle (Henry Scarlet), Danny Midwinter (DS Frank Jenkins), Matthew Malone (PC Honeychurch) and Helen Norton (Mrs Parker).
